Kelly Rowland has insisted that she isn't to blame for the disappointing sales of her Ms. Kelly album. Rowland's debut solo album, 2002's Simply Deep, debuted at number one on the UK album chart but Ms. Kelly, released last June, has thus far failed to make the top 30.
"It was difficult at first, but then I realised that it wasn't my fault," she told DS. "The reason I say it wasn't my fault is that we live in a very different music industry right now. It's tough to sell records without having someone download it."
With Ms. Kelly due for reissue in March, Rowland is confident her record label will do all it can to make the album a hit. "First time around, the label didn't see what I saw in the record," she said.
