Kelly Rowland May Go “Around the World” on New TV Show
Kelly Rowland, one third of the multi-platinum R&B group, Destiny’s Child, recently shot a pilot in Miami for a new travel and lifestyle show, AOL Black Voices reports.
The 27-year-old singer would be the host of the show, tentatively titled All Around the World, which puts an updated spin on Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous. As host, Rowland would highlight the hottest hotels, eateries and nightlife destinations at various locations around the world.
According to AOL Black Voices, the pilot is being produced by Acclaim Films, which is headed by Datari Turner and Phil Thornton, in conjunction with actor Brian Hooks’s 4th Quarter Films company. Turner was also behind BET’s reality show, The Ultimate Hustler, starring hip-hop mogul Damon Dash. They are reportedly in talks with several cable networks to pick up Rowland’s new lifestyle series.
A Houston native, Rowland has released two albums since launching her solo career in 2002. She starred in the DVD movie, The Seat Filler, in 2004 and was part of the cast of the horror film, Freddy vs. Jason, in 2003.
