Hence the crackles and pops heard throughout the PA system and on the broadcast feed. Unfortunately this also affected Kelly's in ear sound and when you are trying to concentrate on singing whilst loud crackles are hurting your ears.... well you can imagine how difficult it would be to concentrate.
