Kelly Rowland set for Coventry’s Ricoh Arena show
A HOST of the world’s biggest music stars will descend on Coventry’s Ricoh Arena later this month for a free concert celebrating black music.
Chart toppers from both sides of the Atlantic, including Akon, Kelly Rowland, Chris Brown and Craig David have been lined up for the first ever 1Xtra Live gig.
They will entertain 4,000 starstruck music fans - almost all of whom will be from Coventry and Warwickshire - in the Ricoh’s Jaguar Hall.
Jason Carter, live music editor at Radio 1 & 1Xtra said: “It’s a great chance for the station to get out and see our listeners in Coventry.”
“We’d love to grow 1Xtra Live into the biggest and most exciting annual event in the black music calendar.”
