Kelly Rowland digital album drops March 25.
R&B singer Kelly Rowland, who came to fame as a member of the international superstar group Destiny’s Child, will re-issue her latest album ‘Ms. Kelly’ with a new name and several edgy tracks.
Ms. Kelly, debuted at number two on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and at number 6 on the Billboard 200 album chart, with first week sales of 83,800 copies (almost 7,000 plus than her first album Simply Deep); making it Rowland’s first domestic top 10 album.
A rep from SonyBMG, Rowland’s record label, tells that the re-released digital album will be branded with the name “Diva Deluxe,” and it will be ready for sale march 25.
The lead track will be “Daylight” featuring Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes.

WHY IS IT A DIGITAL RELEASE?! What about those of us who would rather go to the store and BUY the album.? THIS SUCKS! Has any other artist ever done this? This is the first time I’ve ever even heard of a digital album. Is this really all Kelly’s label thinks she’s worth?

lmao! hilarious! they gave up so easily! all they had to do is have better promotion, and release more than one single every 9 months! that label aint rite! and i been trying to say that from the start! im suprised that bee is gonna say anything about this to her daddy!

I posted this earlier on Kelly-rowland.net………….I ADDED A LINE OR 2……………………………………………………….One reason they are probably releasing it digitally is because that doesnt cost money. I mean us U.S. fans did all that talkin about makin MS. KELLY number one and when it came out, wat happend?! MOST OF YA’LL DIDN’T EVEN GO OUT AND GET IT….I got 3 copies…..anyway, releasing it digitally is assuring her that she makes money, not lose it….Me personally, i would do the same thing or just say forget it and find a career much more promising……Acting, modeling, endorsing…..KELLY would be amazing in those areas…..either that or FIND NEW MANAGEMENT…MATTHEW IS NOT LOOKIN FOR A POSITIVE OUTCOME IN YOUR CAREER……People jus wont let her get from behind you know whos shadow…..I LOVE YOU ALWAYS KELLY!!!

u know what! im goin to do everything in my power to buy this album! it will be a first for me, but i am gonna try! and CEDRIC 2007, U HAVE TO REALIZE THAT THE PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY WERE GONNA BUY THE ALBUM PROBABLY DID! THATS BECAUSE THE ALBUM WASNT REALLY PROMOTED PUBLICALLY, IT WAS MAINLY THRU BLOGGING AND U KNO EVERYBODY DOESNT DO THAT… SO KEEP THAT IN MIND THE NEXT U TRY TO SHAME SOMEBODY!

It would makr no sense to release an album here. Th erelease is 3 months away and Daylight hasn’t even been in heavy rotation so it will flop. her best bet is to just release it overseas where it will do good or just give the U.S a digital download like she is doing. Why waste all that money printing cd’s no one even knows is coming out? Of course we know because we are fans but how many regular poeple know? Slim to none. I think she is working on another cd, one her label is going to actually promote. But she wants to give poeple one last chance to hear Ms. Kelly because its a great cd.

I agree, the record company is NOT promoting Kelly; therefore her sales reflect that. It is a damn shame that she is consistantly compared to Beyonce. They are both good ariest, though Beyonce is more of a entertainer and fits the “mainstream”. The problem that Kelly is facing is no different than what other’s who were in a group face. The lead singers are always the ones who do better. What artiest who was in a group, who wasn’t the lead in the group, has done better than the lead?
All I can say is that if you are a Kelly Rowland fan, than you will support her no matter who is the management company behind her. Just imagine where she would be if she was under a different management company putting up the record sales that she has put up? She might not be signed to a label.
